The essentials for planning your first production.
Do I need a separate computer to run a show?
You can operate the core production workflow from the built-in hardware controls and detachable touchscreen. You can also connect a mouse and keyboard or use remote web control from another device on the same network.
Can one person operate it?
Yes. The touchscreen, programmable keys, production macros, and AI auto switching are designed to help a solo operator manage a live show. Teams can also share control across multiple remote devices.

Connections & control
Cameras, remote operation, and hands-on controls.
How many cameras can I connect?
PIXEL;GATE has five HDMI video inputs and also supports IP stream inputs. The exact mix you can use depends on the formats and sources in your setup.
Does it work with PTZ cameras?
Yes. PIXEL;GATE supports PTZ camera control and presets, so you can prepare common camera positions and recall them during a production.
Can I control it from my phone or tablet?
Yes. Connect your phone, tablet, or computer to the same network and open the remote web interface. Multiple remote devices can connect at once.
Can I customize the physical controls?
Yes. Programmable keys can be assigned to actions such as source switching, PTZ presets, media playback, picture-in-picture, and subtitles. Macros let you trigger a sequence of actions with one key.

Streaming, recording, and finishing your show.
Can I stream to more than one platform?
Yes. PIXEL;GATE can stream to up to four platforms at the same time. You can configure streaming settings such as bitrate and delay.
Can I stream and record at the same time?
Yes. You can stream while recording the program and selected ISO sources. PIXEL;GATE also supports WAV audio recording and XML cut-point exports for post-production.
How does AI auto switching work?
Connect a USB audio mixer, map speakers to cameras, then choose the switching mode and sensitivity. PIXEL;GATE can cut between speakers, reaction shots, and wider views automatically.
Can I add graphics, subtitles, or picture-in-picture?
Yes. You can use overlays and lower thirds, import subtitle or lyric files, play media, and build picture-in-picture layouts within the production workflow.
